The BFW supports vocational training programmes at a national and international level through innovative education projects:

• development and implementation of knowledge management and e-learning projects 
• standardisation of qualifications in the construction industry throughout Europe 
• conceptualisation of personnel development models 
• implementation of inter-cultural training programmes for apprentices and related promotion of mobility within the European job market 
• development, supervision and implementation of current and future projects in collaboration with other institutions in the construction industry and construction associations in other European countries
